LP28058F is a complete single-cell li-ion battery charger with reverse polarity protection for the battery. It adopts constant current / constant voltage linear control. The small number of external components required makes it ideal for portable applications. This chip is suitable for USB power and adapter power work.Due to the use of an internal PMOSFET architecture and an anti-reverse charge circuit, no external sense resistors and isolation diodes are required. Thermal feedback can automatically adjust the charging current to limit the chip temperature under high power operation or high ambient temperature conditions. The charge current can be programmed with a resistor.When the battery voltage reaches VFLOAT (4.2V Typ.), the charging current will drop to 1/10 of the set value，the status indicator status is reversed, but the chip will still charges the battery until the current decreases to 0A.When the input voltage (AC adapter or USB power) is removed, the chip will automatically enter a low current state, and the battery leakage current is below 3uA. Other features of the LP28058F include a charge current monitor, under-voltage lockout, automatic recharge, and two status pins to indicate the end of charging and the input voltage.
